“His comments are beyond repugnant to me,” Hannity said of Bundy’s remarks. “They are beyond despicable to me. They are beyond ignorant to me.”
While distancing himself from the racist remarks, Hannity still argued that the way federal agents had tried to seize Bundy’s cattle was wrong. The host stressed that he has been, and will continue to be, opposed to “government overreach.”
Hannity said he was angry Thursday because people who “for the right reasons saw this case as government overreach now are like branded because of the ignorant, racist, repugnant, despicable comments of Cliven Bundy.”
Not just beyond repugnant, despicable and ignorant…but beyond repugnant, despicable and ignorant to Hannity, specifically.
Does that make it more or less beyond repugnant, despicable and ignorant generally? I guess I don’t have a good sense of what, exactly, Hannity finds ignorant, for example. Where does he draw the line? How stupid does something have to be before Hannity would say, “That’s ignorant.”
“That’s beyond ignorant to me.” It’s just a weird fuckin’ thing to say.
What lies beyond ignorant on the cognitive map? ‘Here be dragons.’
And do ignore the massive overlap between these fuckwits and Sarah Palin supporters. And the NRA. And George Zimmerman fans. And Ted Nugent. And Eric Bolling. And the Fox News audience of geriatric white ragesacs.
Just because all of our friends and associates are racists doesn’t mean WE’RE racists. WE don’t even want to TALK about race. It’s always you Liberals CALLING people racist…bringing up RACE! So let’s just all agree to stop talking about race because poor, old Cliven Bundy said something stupid while he was exercising his GOD GIVEN AMERICAN RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Now, while I abhor what ol’ Cliven said after he had been pushed to the end of his rope by the heavy-handed overreach of a socialist Federal government acting in plain breach of our Divinely Inspired Founding Document, those LIBRULS want to silence him; take away his Constitutional Right to speak his mind. And I don’t think that’s right. No, sir, I do not. If the Libruls would just stop calling people racist and agree to eliminate the minimum wage, perhaps we could get this country back to work.
