GOP Strategy: Lies, Stupid Lies and Hateful Lies

Last night’s Fox News GOP debate – was it the fourth or fifth still 14 months ahead of the election? – devolved almost immediately into yet another showcase of the sheer stupidity, incompetence and dedication to outright lying that comprises the Republican candidates and the Conservative mindset.

Michele Bachmann, blindly grasping her ice cube’s chance in hell of getting anywhere near the convention, argued that there should be NO taxes. None. Zero. Of course, one wonders how she would then pay for Haliburton to conduct American foreign policy…or anything else.

Santorum maintained his grip on being the frothy candidate when asked about the repeal of DADT:

SANTORUM: I would say any type of sexual activity has absolutely no place in the military. The fact they are making a point to include it as a provision within the military that we are going to recognize a group of people and give them a special privilege to, and removing don’t ask don’t tell. I think tries to inject social policy into the military. And the military’s job is to do one thing: to defend our country…

KELLY: What would you do with soldiers like Stephen Hill?

SANTORUM: What we are doing is playing social experimentation with our military right now. That’s tragic. I would just say that going forward we would re-institute that policy if Rick Santorum was president. That policy would be re-instituted as far as people in, I would not throw them out because that would be unfair to them because of the policy of this administration. But we would move forward in conformity with what was happening in the past. Which was- sex is not an issue. It should not be an issue. Leave it alone. Keep it to yourself whether you are heterosexual or homosexual.

The stupid…it burns. Apparently enlisting in the military means a life of celibacy. The fucking moron trots out the “Special rights” bullshit, too. Asshole. There’s nothing SPECIAL about being treated exactly like everyone else.
As for the willfully blind suggestion that allowing homosexuals to serve openly in the armed forces amounts to “Social experimentation”, the experiment has been conducted in Albania, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Bermuda, Canada, Republic of China, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece ,Republic of Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand and the United Kingdom.
The evidence is clear and unequivocal: There is no reduction in force readiness, and no increase in discipline problems or resignations. Santorum is an ignorant, bigoted, Jesus ass-licking buffoon who would prefer the policies that are maintained in such notable bastions of freedom as Mexico and Turkey…but not to be outdone by the Fox audience who loudly booed the gay soldier who posed the question via YouTube.

No gays. No abortions. No taxes. No unions. No healthcare. No teachers. No Social Security. No regulations. No immigration. No environmental protection. No.
Ladies and gentlemen, the modern Republican party.

  2. I’ll just give up for the time being. Cous, you hit it out the park. I’ll weigh in when I’ve something worth presenting. Blessings you, and all you touch. gary

  3. I’ll bet that frothy mixture of anal lube, Rick Santorum, would change his tune if he told gay members of the military would be subjected to this kind of shit. http://www.alternet.org/module/printversion/140206

In fact, he’d probably make it mandatory for all gays to serve in the military.
