Busy Busy

Haven’t been posting much lately. We’re pulling together an English language ex-pat magazine here in the Chungle / Central Taiwan region which has been keeping me fairly occupied. It’s interesting, but not much of a vent for my snark, which is piling up like a snowdrift in a heavy blizzard and high wind.
In any case, thought I’d toss up our premiere issue cover art. I’ll be back.

  1. So, let me get this straight.

At a time when the entire print media is Critical Care and ad revenue has shrunken like a naked man’s penis in a room full of sharp knives, you decide to get involved in a free magazine? Not only that, one that won’t give you much of chance to rant and rave? What’s next? You’ve put your entire life savings into it?

Oh, this is going to be fun to watch…from a safe distance.

    • ENGLISH magazine. We sorta have the market cornered except for one thing that’s basically a restaurant review wrapped around a map, in which EVERY SINGLE BITE of whatever slop gets slapped on a plate is the absolute best thing ever cooked by anyone anywhere.
There’s plenty of ad revenue, and there’s plenty of eager contributors with projects and opinions. I merely korekt the spilling and basque in the glory.

  2. Honest opinions and advertisers are mortal enemies in the long run. That’s why your competition sucks every restaurant cock out there…and loves it!

But, Cousinavi, do I detect the foul stench of…optimism…(gag!) emanating from you?

I thought I’d never live to see the day!

    • Matter of perspective. I suppose it might be termed “optimistic” that I’ve come up with some way to avoid serious criminal behaviour in order to cover the rent.
The foul stench has other explanations. Most likely the bodies under the porch.
