Class Warfare in America

“There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”Warren Buffet

  1. This is a surprise? When there’s a war, the army with all the weapons usually wins.

  2. that quote is insane- is there a date to go with it for context please.

  3. Interesting article, pretty good take-down on Republican talking points. Buffett is right, there is a financial burden but on middle-lower class strata to pay for ‘top end’ income breaks, and of course corporate “welfare”.

Nice closed-loop system they’ve got; you donate to my PAC, I’ll keep your taxes low, so that you can.. donate to my PAC.

  4. Sounds like the same thing the middle and lower-class Greeks are dealing with.

  5. Yeah, when one of the world’s richest men says things have gone too far in favour of the rich, it’s a safe bet that it’s true.

Class warfare is a continual process that is essentially built into capitalism and politics. I always laugh when Republicans talk about class warfare like it’s something that only happens when Democrats talk about certain policy changes.

    • Especially when that man became rich by predicting what all the other rich people would be doing next month.
Buffet wasn’t born sitting atop huge oil reserves. He didn’t steal some computer code and horn a buggy OS into every computer on earth. He didn’t invent anything. He examines the market and figures out where the best place to put his money is and why. When THAT guy talks, it ought to carry more weight.
