Ship Randall Terry to Gitmo

Randall Terry, the twisted and vicious bible thumping anti-abortion freak, is threatening violence if the coming health care legislation doesn’t ban abortion.

From Think Progress:

Background: It is clear that many elements in the pro-abortion congress and White House want to force Americans to pay for the murder of the unborn in their “healthcare” program. If that happens, it is tantamount to the government putting a gun to taxpayers’ heads to pay for the brutal murder of an innocent child. This is tyranny and evil of the highest order. . . .

“Nevertheless, the sheer horror and frustration of such an evil policy will lead some people to absolutely refuse to pay their taxes. And I believe — if my reading of history from America and around the world is correct — that there are others who will be tempted to acts of violence.

“If the government of this country tramples the faith and values of its citizens, history will hold those in power responsible for the violent convulsions that follow.” — Randall Terry

Make no mistake: Terry inserts the milksop “…if my reading of history from America and around the world is correct…” for one reason only – to make it appear as though the threat of violence is to be deduced from patterns of human behavior and not from the motivation provided from the mouth of Randall Terry. AS IF Randall Terry reads history, either of America or anywhere else!

The time has come to stop playing patty cake with the 1st Amendment and bastards like Randall Terry. Free speech is a wonderful thing, but this arrogant god-stomping Jesus freak has for too long been permitted to use that freedom to incite violence and murder against doctors performing legal, needed services for women who have a perfect right to control what happens to their own bodies.

Leaving aside the implicit assumption that “the citizens” are united in faith behind Randall Terry (when they most assuredly are not), how hypocritical of this arrogant imbecile to assert that if legal medical services are in any way funded by tax dollars it is equivalent to putting a gun to the head of the citizens and forcing them to commit murder, while at the same time threatening violence and murder in response. Especially when such heinous acts have already been committed by Terry’s membership and associates.

Every elected representative in America swore an oath to protect the Constitution against all threats, foreign and domestic. I believe Randall Terry certainly qualifies. It’s time to shut this backward, ignorant, brainless fuckwit down and stop him from inflicting his God delusion on people through threats of death. Randall Terry is nothing more than a religious terrorist. Send his twisted ass to Gitmo.

  1. That’s certainly one way of looking at it.

Of course another way of looking at it is cry out for the extermination – preferably by fire – of all the godless baby killers and those who support their atrocities. 😉

See…radical responses just feed off each other.

It started with the Warren Court’s un-American decision to rule on Roe v. Wade at all and eventually escalated into Terry and those of you who call for him to be sent to Gitmo.

Oddly, we had this same sort of behavior a while ago in the US. It was the argument over slavery and it ended in war.

    • Like all supporters of terry, and those who insist on dominion over women’s bodies (much like plantation owners held dominion over slaves), you adore historical revisionism.
There was no argument over slavery. The matter at issue was state’s rights. The idea that the Union went to war in order to free the slaves is nothing more than icing on the “Ain’t we moral and just” cake.
There’s nothing radical about suggesting that those who threaten violence and murder against medical professionals providing legal services to those who have a perfect right to control their own bodies amounts to terrorism. Furthermore, there is nothing radical about suggesting that terrorists be dealt with according to present standards – Gitmo.
Death by fire? Your false equivalency is showing. Tuck it back into your ignorance before you try again.

  2. The Civil War was certainly far more about States RIghts, but the preceding argument amongst the people was over slavery. That argument is what eventually led to the federal government exercising its power in a manner that convinced the South to secede.

    • Well, if succession is your thing – if you’d like to live in a state where abortion is outlawed, how about you folks take Texas and leave the rest of us alone?
Or, you could move to some Shiria law joint…but one suspects you’d object to having someone else’s religious convictions shoved down your throat. Oh, the irony!
Preceding argument? Look, let me be clear. The end of slavery was a consequence of the conflict, and not one Abe Lincoln supported (what blasphemy, eh?). Sorry, the facts just aren’t on your side here. There was no serious objection to slavery as a predicate cause of the Civil War.

  3. Arguing about the main cause of the Civil War is like arguing over why couples fight over money. Couples fight over money all the time, but are they really fighting about the money or is it about something else? I’m sure if you asked 20 Civil War era Americans why the war started, you might get 25 different answers.

Back to the topic, I’m taking this latest Randall Terry sighting from a different perspective. I’m taking it from the angle that this is one more lobbying effort from the healthcare and insurance companies to sabotage healthcare reform.

If somebody proposes Terry’s anti-abortion amendment, the bill suddenly becomes as much about abortion as it is about healthcare. Maybe public support gets split, some Congressmen fall off the fence and…oops! Failed to pass by 3 votes! No more healthcare reform proposals for another 15 years.

    Drinks all around!

    • It’s getting a little annoying, you know…you coming in here with insight and perspective.
Keep up the good work. Watch for insurance money pouring into Terry’s mean, greasy little hands.

  4. I’m forced to disagree with Sedate Me’s assertion. Terry is a very narrowly focused, single issue agendist. I sincerely doubt that he’s looking at the Healthcare Abomination as a whole. All he can see is the abortion struggle.

I’m pretty sure that Terry would support anything and anyone that ended abortion, irrespective of what else that thing or person might do or attempt to do.

    • As if YOU’RE looking at the health care issue with anything other the same childish obstructionist foot stomping “Stop Obama” myopia as the rest of the right wing imbeciles.

Fuck you and your insurance company thieves. You fuckwits have no alternative, no solution – just the ignorant yammering bullshit “oh noes socialism is bad…Obama is bad…America is number one…” crap that comes out of the mouths of your brighter shining lights: Michelle Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Steele.
You play politics with people’s lives and financial well being without regard for the consequences of the people.
It’s one thing to be motivated by a nonexistent imaginary sky wizard. It’s another to inflict your stupidity on others.
Ending abortion. Fuck you, fuckwit. Go care for some of the kids that are already here and need your attention. Stop worrying over the zygotes.
YOU don’t want an abortion – don’t have one. Keep your filthy fucking creepy Jesus mitts OFF the rest of the people. You have NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to inflict your bullshit religion on others. Keep it at home and in your cunting church. You start cramming your goddamn bible down my throat, I’ll drag you out behind the barn and blow your fucking head off.

  5. Oh, don’t get me wrong Jonolon.

Terry himself probably couldn’t give less of a flying fuck that people (actual real, live, people) are dying because of a lack of affordable, accessible, healthcare. He only cares about the fetuses. It’s all about the love he feels for the fetuses. Maybe he’s like Micheal Jackson, only with even younger targets. Also, like Jacko, he loves a good spotlight and this is one way of getting it.

His lack of interest in anything outside of abortion is what makes this suspicious. Who is giving him this platform to speak on something he is irrelevant to? Is it just media incompetence, or is it motivated? And where is his money coming from? Most of his supporters don’t have teeth, never mind money.

Putting things in perspective, (Oh no I dinnint!) It’s commonplace for political groups and corporations with political agendas to set up front groups or seek out arrangements (even straight out payoffs) with existing groups to advance or sabotage a political agenda.

When my city was debating the future of drive-throughs, Tim Horton’s set up a front group and bombarded the city with propaganda from a “concerned citizens group”. They even held rallies where employees were told to attend as “private citizens”. They had the entire city believing City Hall was banning all drive-throughs, when all the city was doing was considering better zoning practices for future drive-throughs.

But we’re talking about the insurance and healthcare companies here. No dirty trick gets past these motherfuckers. They deliberately deny a percentage of claims for no reason whatsoever just because some consultants told them it would bump up their profit margins a bit. Healthcare reform threatens their entire profit margin and maybe even their entire business. They’re spending millions of dollars a day trying to kill this. You don’t think they’d grease Terry’s palm?

At the end of the day, Terry is still the leader of a pressure group that needs followers, money, a media profile and allies. Hooking up with opponents of healthcare reform helps with all of the above.

I don’t care if Terry is Motherfucking Theresa, I say there’s at least a 75% percent chance he had “help” formulating this new position. It’s just how this twisted fucking game works.

  6. Sedate Me,

Possibly you’re right. The game is that twisted and Terry could be a convenient tool for someone; monomaniacal types are quite easy to manipulate.

On the other hand, the media coverage of Terry’s statement could also be coming from the Left. If they can paint the opponents of Socialized Healthcare as anti-abortion extremists, they might get a few more Blue Dog votes for the bill.

I mean just look at our host’s rather virulent and violent response….

As you said, “It’s just how this twisted fucking game works.”
