I’m not so sure Obama really deserves this one. A guy running two wars gets a peace prize for -um,er- suggesting nuclear disarmament. Let’s face it, he’s really just getting it because he’s not the last guy and everybody wants to celebrate his departure.
Mind you, 2009 wasn’t exactly a banner year for peace, so I guess the competition wasn’t exactly red hot. Maybe the idea was that Obama’s probably going to get one anyway, so give it to him now and get it out of the way just in case somebody deserves one later.
