Obama pals around with terrorists.  ACORN is attacking the very fabric of democracy.
The Democrats are socialists.  Health care for every citizen is a commie plot.
Trickle down economics.  John McCain knows how to solve (insert problem here).
We’re fighting them over there so that they can’t come here.
Withdrawal from Iraq equals surrender.  Obama is an Arab/Muslim.

It’s no longer a question of how many lies the Republicans have told.  It’s a question of how many dirty, underhanded, dangerous, backward, mindless, outright heaps of horseshit have they foisted on an electorate, about half of whom are stupid enough to swallow it.
It’s one thing to lie, it’s another to manipulate the blindingly stupid – treating them as mere means to vicious ends, knowing full well that they are pouring pure, full-strength, undiluted crap down the throats of idiots.

There were no weapons of mass destruction.  There is nothing resembling a democracy in Iraq – merely bribed sectarian murderers who accepted a boatload of CASH to stop shooting one another for the time being.  The idea that the war over there prevents anyone from coming “over here” is so stunningly myopic, it’s shocking.  Listen, you ignorant twits:  If your borders were even remotely secure, you’d being doing a better job of keeping the illegal Mexicans out…which is yet another of your lies, because there’s no fucking way any of you are about to get off your lazy, fat asses and harvest those oranges and avocados for less than minimum wage and no benefits.  Neither are you interested in paying for oranges harvested by legal, minimum wage labour.  You’re not only stupid, you’re hypocrits.

Harriet Miers was not only unqualified for the USSC, but now hides behind a ginned up bit of executive privilege crafted and designed for the sole purpose of futher obscuring Smirking BushCo’s evil machinations and avoiding the oversight of Congress.  One can only hope she makes it to the Court of Final Appeal – as a cunting defendant.

Sarah Palin.  A vapid, shallow, pathetic scam.  A joke which would be funny in almost any other circumstance.  The woman believes dinosaurs and humans walked the earth at the same fucking time!
John McCain lauded her in the the last debate as a maverick who “faced down the big oil companies in negotiating a pipeline deal.”
Yeah, sure John…I bet those oil company negotiators are still kicking themselves as they suck down shots of bourbon and lament the day they took it up the ass in negotiations with Sarah Palin.  I just bet she made them accept a deal they never would have agreed to except for her shrewd skills and vast knowledge.  I think I can hear them now: “Aw, FUCK!  A pipeline?  WHY did we ever agree to a PIPELINE?”

William Ayers – rhymes with No one cares.  And speaking of palling around with terrorists, perhaps the GOP would like to explain Bush Sr.’s meetings with Manny Noriega, Jr.’s meetings in Houston with the Taliban (for a pipeline!), Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam Hussein, and Ronald Reagan’s boys arming Osama Bin Laden and the mujahadeen against the Russians.

ACORN.  The attempt to portray voter registration drives and a handful of fraudulent registration forms as equating with attempted voter fraud is one of the ugliest bits of utter BULLSHIT to come down the pipe in a long time.   “A threat to the very fabric of democracy.”

Of course the last thing the Republicans want is a bunch of poor folks and minorities actually voting.  Jesus!  How is rich, white America supposed to maintain their chokehold on power if representative democracy actually happens?  The lengths to which these filthy fuckers will go to make sure only rednecks and members of the gated communities can cast a ballot is well beyond offensive and a flagrant foul against the Constitution.  It ought to be criminal.

I’ll probably never get my head around the virulent conservative opposition to universal healthcare.  For a country that considers itself the pinnacle of civilization, this just boggles my Canadian mind.  The French, the British, we Canucks…even the citizens of Taiwan get full cradle to grave health care.  Only in America can you lose your home and wind up in the goddamn poor house because someone in your family got SICK!  And John McCain, ever the lying, senile cunt he’s always been, insists that letting the marketplace handle it is the best way to serve American citizens.  This despite the facts and despite that HE gets full coverage as a Senator at no cost.

Fuck only knows what’s next.  Obama is up double digits in the blue states, converting swing states, and threatening in places like Virginia and Georgia.  GEORGIA!  At least, that’s according to poll after poll, day after day.  It’s looking like a landslide might be in the works.  Eight years of failed Republican policy on the back of almost forty years of failed neocon philosophy, wasted opportunity, increased UV sunshine, toxic lollipops and acid rainbows, and there are still people out there – lots of them – who insist that Obama is some sort of Machurian candidate; the end of the American way of life; a dangerous threat to the Red, White and Blue.  And not just the really smart geniuses like Rush (who asserts that the blacks have been plotting for thirty years – teaching their children to hate America) and that mountain of sane, sober thought Stephen Fucking Baldwin, who promises to leave America if Obama is elected (which ought to swing the vast majority of movie-goers over to the Dems in a heartbeat).  Clearly America is filled almost to overflowing with braindead, semi-literate fuckwits who can’t tell the difference between a shower and being pissed on, but have come to prefer both the piss AND the bedtime story about how it’s good for the scalp.

One thing seems certain, with three weeks to go until the election, these slimy, putrid sacks of eel shit and festering boils are not about to roll over and let justice or wisdom prevail.  Mark my words – something wicked this way comes.  They’ve played the terror alert card before and I wouldn’t put it past the dirty fuckers to pull another Gulf of Tonkin exercise and raise the threat level to Batshit Insanity/Everybody Panic!  Something.  Something wicked.
